Design of recreational building featuring steel construction and roof options in Vancouver, BC

Abstract
The purpose of this project was to the design of recreational centre and roofing options in Vancouver, BC. The structure is a low rise building with gable roof with flexible diaphragm. The structural system consists of steel joists, beams, columns, and cross bracing, while the foundation is composed of reinforced concrete. The initial drawings and details of the structure were provided by my sponsor, [retracted] . The project underwent a scope revision, replacing seismic analysis with wind load design upon faculty advisor's request.
