Abstract
For our project we wanted to make a program that interfaces the FPGA to emulate the AD2. Our goal was to include the following features: An oscilloscope which can measure any signal, a voltage supply to supply voltage from 0 to 5V, a waveform generator to generate different types of signals with parameters including peak to peak voltage, frequency, and duty cycle. These features would be displayed on a custom-built desktop app which communicates with the FPGA through USB and UART protocols. We managed to make a fully working oscilloscope that was tested to measure signals up to 6Vpp, and as low as 500mVpp, as well as up to frequencies of 60kHz.
